Minutes of the Association Meeting

Held at Gaydon on 14 OTOBER 2007

In Attendance:

1.0 Apologies for Absence received from:

2.0 Adoption of Minutes of the meeting held on 14/01/07

The minutes were then upheld as a true account.

Proposed by Lorna Martin and seconded by John Williams.

3.0 Matters Arising

4.0 Chairman’s Report

Bernard reported that he had been to the opening of the museum on the 5 th September it was in the company of The Princes Royal

 

4.1 Bernard then said about the car that had been advertised as for sale in an auction Ulster but in fact it was a replica it was still sold for £ 12000

5.0 Secretary’s Report

That it had been a quiet time on the secretarial front with just a few bits and bobs to deal wit a couple of e mails that he has past on to various people to deal with

 

6.0 Treasurer’s Report

Eric Jones sent the Treasurers Report with the accounts for the first 9 months which was passed out to all in the room and showed that that by the end of 2007 break-even and he was happy with this

7.0 Magazine

Robin sent this report to the meeting firstly he would like to apologised for the The lateness of the2007c mag and thank all of you that had offered him support I am still looking for more material to print if you have photos or information that would be of use to other members pass it on so all can share it

8.0 Web Master Report

8.1 Malcolm Watts sent apologies and reported that it was going on well with over 35000 hits

9.0 Registrar

Sandy reported that he has had a lot of emails asking if cars still around and has put people in touch with the cars old owners

10.0 Advertising

11.1 Phil had supplied orders for posters but reported he was short of some to fulfill all inquiries. He was advised that Dave Wilcox was closing his company and had negotiated more A-Z Longbridge charts and some Chummy in the Lane Posters. And has receive all the posters

11.2 He had received correspondence from Gerrit Peters who has a 2 seater in Holland requesting Austin verification for the Dutch Authorities.

11.3 Bert Hadley apprenticeship indenture documents and various items were bought in auction for the association it is also going to get racing ware after it has been on a long term lone

11.4 Ray Morley trophy cup has been re-discovered after going missing it will now be re-presented at the A G M

Phil to contact Rob Foxton with regards to the Association films

David Cochrane past around the new half Shafts that he is selling priced £115 and has now got a new stock of steering arms

15.0 Calendar

Lorna Martin informed the room there were already some amendments to the calendar in this issue. It was requested that Secretaries have dates ready for Bernard to put in Mag when it available

 

16.0 Breakdown Register

Gordon Phillips to be asked to do a new copy can all club secretaries ask members do they want to be included

Lorna Martin asked to record that they had to use R H Brake down service and they were excellent
